Systems Engineers "windows servers" and "Exchange servers at KSA
Job Description:
• Researches, evaluates, and recommends software and hardware products
• Supports Web access and electronic messaging services and maintains a secure systems environment
• Provides new hardware specifications to users based on application needs and anticipated growth, installs new servers, and maintains the server infrastructure
• Maintains Active Directory (administration and maintenance)
• Maintains server and base applications and operating system security patches
• Coordinates with user community scheduling times and user procedures necessary for operating system upgrades and/or maintenance
• Monitors security for operating systems, applications, and hardware
• Provides second level technical support for Microsoft technologies
• Undertakes and documents incident, problem, change and release management
• Monitors and manages performance and stability and diagnoses system issues
• Responds to operational problems and coordinates efforts with other technical personnel
• Responds to, resolves, and follows up on reported issues through the trouble ticketing system
• Adheres to organization, IT, and change/release management policy and procedures, and service level agreements
• Proposes and implements system enhancements
• Develops and maintains operational documentation and standards
• Participates in disaster recovery planning
The qualified candidate will have demonstrated education, training, and experience in the following areas:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field "preferred", or *****alent work experience
• MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) Windows 2000 or 2003 Server
• Expertise in Windows 2000 or 2003 Active Directory
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, WINS, and TCP/IP
• Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP): Enterprise Messaging Administrator certification for exchange 2007 administration
• Experience with system monitoring software
• Experience with backup software and recovery procedures
• Experience with E-mail Filter for SMTP messaging security
• Four years of experience in systems administration or technical support, including at least three years of experience as a mid-range administrator in a multi-server environment
