برنامج TrueCrypt هو برنامج تستطيع من خلاله تشفير ملفاتك الشخصية بشكل امن تماما بحيث لا يستطيه اي شخص قرائه اي ملف الا اذا كان يمتلك كلمه السر الصحيحة. مع هذا البرنامج تستطيع فتح الملفات مباشرة بمجرد ان تدخل كلمه االسر الصحيحة. يستطيع هذا البرنامج عمل قرص افتراضي مشفر ويمكن ايضا للبرنامج تشفير Drive بأكمله او تشفير وحده تخزينية مثل USB Flash Disk او Hard Disk. ويمكنك ايضا تشفير نظام التشغيل ذاته بحيث لا ينمكن الدخول عليه الا بكلمة سر. يقوم البرنامج بتشفير وفك تشفير الملفات بشكل فوري مستخدما اعقد نظم التشفير في العالم مثل AES-256, Serpent,Twofish.
