حسب ماذكر الموقع*Buzzfeed (http://www.buzzfeed.com/josephbernstein/google-adding-fingerprint-authentication-to-next-version-of#.rspJDQ897)*فأن نظام الأندرويد M القادم سيدعم بتقنية البصمة وبشكل أساسي نفس الفكرة الموجودة في*TouchID هذا يعني أنه يمكن التحكم بالبصمة في القيام بأكثر من وظيفة وليس فقط لفتح قفل الشاشة حيث يمكنك تشفير التطبيقات وعدم فتحها إلا من خلال البصمة *وهذا يعني أيضا أنه الأمر يعتمد على الشركات المصنعة للهواتف حيث كل ماعليهم هو وضع حساس البصمة للهاتف حتى يتم تفعيل هذه الخاصية أما أذا كان هاتفك لايدعم تقنية البصمة فأنه لايمكنك فعل ذلك.لاتوجد تأكيدات وعلينا الأنتظار حتى تقوم قوقل بتأكيد ذلك.
